At Work : Having developed key skills in project management, financial control and leading teams across the public, private and third sectors I took the decision in 2011 to apply them to developing my own business working within the events sector. A year later and in partnership with my better half the core business focus changed direction. We now specialise in telling our clients commercial based stories in a way that helps them sell their proposition in their particular market place. My real passion is working with people and finding ways to overcome their challenges and solve their problems, be that as simple as changing a lightbulb to managing the logistics of getting trucks full of gear on and off site at big corporate venues or executing research projects to evidence and backup our client's stories which are then the basis for Nichola to transform into an appropriate commercial trade communication. I really believe that conversation can resolve most issues and I love talking to people to find ways to ensure the client brief is met on time and in full despite whatever challenge is thrown at us along the way.
At Play : My number one passion is music and me and my hair and beard are never happier than in a muddy field or tiny sweat box listening to the next big thing or a classic rock act of the 70’s and 80’s. When I’m not watching, listening to or making music I can be found cheering on the Mighty Millers at the New York Stadium or sampling my growing collection of spiced rum!
Best Gig of All Time : Voodoo Six at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow giving it absolutely everything in front of the 10 strong audience who had battled through the snow to be there!

At Work : I discovered my enthusiasm for comms having been lucky enough to work with leading international organisations including Mars, Asda and Heineken. Having worked on the development of sales and marketing strategies for both a consumer and trade audience, I get excited by connecting the links between customer need and product features and then coming up with creative ways to tell the audience about it. I love talking to our clients about the fantastic work they do and coming up with ideas about how we can share their story with the rest of the world. Equally at home in a corporate boardroom or on site with a bunch of hairy riggers the best bit of my job is definitely meeting people and getting their take on the world!
At Play : Music is my number one passion whether it’s country, rock, musical theatre or metal, live or recorded - it’s what keeps me going through the long days! Apart from that I can usually be found pen in hand trying to write the next best-seller or up to my ears in flour practicing to be Mary Berry! Naturally all of the above is usually accompanied by a large glass of Prosecco and some dark, dark chocolate!
